What is Powder Coating?

Think of it as paint with an attitude.

It Looks Like Paint But It Acts Like Armor

Powder coating is tough, durable, scratch resistant, and sot-effective. It's the finish of the future, and it's here today. The best part is that you can have your products powder coated without setting up a finishing line. We will do it for you at our facility. Our expert finishers are ready to take your products and give them the finish of a lifetime.

How does it work?

Powder coating is a dry finishing process. Finely ground particles of pigment and resin are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the products to be coated. The parts to be coated are electrically grounded, so that the charged particles adhere to them until melted and fused into a solid coating in a curing oven.

The result is an attractive, durable, high-quality finish. The powder coating process itself offers another advantage - it is environmentally friendly...virtually pollution-free!

Unlike liquid paint, no solvents are used, so only negligible amounts of VOCs are released into the air. In addition, unused or oversprayed powder can be recovered, so any waste is minimal and can be disposed of easily and safely.

Benefits of selecting a powder coating finish

In addition to the cost savings and environmental benefits, powder coating has many other advantages:

    Protects against snagging and scratching
Provides maximum coverage, even on sharp, rough surfaces
Is resistant to corrosion, heat, fading, and abrasion
Minimizes or eliminates the need for polishing, grinding, or deburring
Is available in virtually unlimited color selections in high and low gloss, matte and textured finishes
    Hides inherent surface imperfections
